Are you between the ages of 15 and 30 and looking to kickstart your career? The Skilled4Success Program is here to empower you with the skills, experience, and confidence you need to thrive in the workforce. Made possible by BGC Canada and ESDC, this year-round youth employment program provides hands-on training, work experience, and the tools to overcome employment barriers.
Whether you’re just starting out or facing challenges in finding work, Skilled4Success is tailored to help you build job readiness, gain real-world experience, and explore exciting career paths.

🗓️ Program Overview
The Skilled4Success Program offers a comprehensive mix of training, mentorship, and paid work experience over 8 to 15 weeks. Here’s what you can expect:
1. Skills Training
- Learn essential skills to prepare you for the job market, including resume building, interview techniques, and workplace professionalism.
2. Hands-On Experience
- Gain 20 hours per week of practical, paid work experience in a real-world job environment.
- Develop valuable workplace skills while earning minimum wage.
3. Mentorship & Support
- Receive job shadowing and mentorship opportunities to guide your career journey.
- Build confidence as you overcome barriers to employment.
4. Childcare Certification
- Are you interested in working with children? Participants have the chance to earn their Level 1 Childcare Certification, a great stepping stone for childcare careers.
5. Out-of-School Program Experience
- Work directly with children and youth (ages 6-12) in the BGC Out-of-School Program, gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, rewarding environment.
6. Completion Bonus
- Successfully finish the program and receive a completion bonus in addition to your wages.
